Window films are paper thin
polyester-based products which are coated and laminated with
different metals and dyes. When installed it forms a molecule
bond to the glass with adhesives and is protected by a silicone
seal.
When professionally installed to the inner
surface of a glass, different window films can stop up to 80% of
solar heat gain from the sun, reduce uncomfortable glare by up
to 90% and eliminate up to 99% of the sun’s damaging ultra
violet rays without giving up a majority of light. There are
also Low E films that can even reradiate heat in the winter
months.
The fastest growing use of window films are by
companies engaged in energy savings, glare reduction, ultra
violet protection, heat reduction and retention, safety,
security and graphics.
